Building Fund Donations are Tax Deductible

24/05/2017
The P&C is increasing the SOLAR power for the school and we require donations to make it happen.
Why Donate?
Further reduce WESS energy
Save the school $
With the money saved, we can help our school provide learning resources for our kids
All donations are tax deductible via the School Building Fund
What is the system?
14kW (Inverter capacity) made up of:
16.8kW of panels (58 individual panels) taking the school capacity to 30kW.
2 x 7kW inverters
Why only 14kw?
If total capacity goes above 30kW additional, costly equipment is required by Energex.  The school currently has 16kW capacity.
When will it be installed?
Planned for 2018 after Stage 1 of the building works is complete
How much mains power will the solar system save?
School use stands at around 60kW+ at peak times, and around 6MWh per month during the holidays with the pool pump working.
Almost all power generated will be used by the school
Where will it be installed?
Current thoughts are east facing on F&G block – this best suits the school’s current load profile.
