Here are the details -

  • Book Week Parade - Tuesday 20th August 9am in the hall - parents and carers are welcome to come along.
  • Tuesday is dress up day - everyone in the whole school joins in - P-6 and teachers too!
  • Book Fair in the library- opens 8.15am on Monday and runs until Friday afternoon - there will be hundreds of books for sale from $3.99.  This year our supplier is "Where the Wild Things Are" so we will have a wide variety of high quality books for sale.  The sale of these books provides some funding for our library - so it is a great time to stock up on new books and gifts and also help out the school.
  • Twilight night - Tuesday 20th August from 5.3 pm-7.30pm in the library.  Our guest author will be poet Michelle  Taylor who has just released her latest book of poetry - 100 Ways to Fly.  Also on twilight night, Fiona Stager owner of Where the Wild Things Are Bookshop in Boundary St West End will give a talk on the latest kids books and give her personal recommendations and tips on kid reading.
  • This year's CBCA theme is "Reading is my secret power!"
