West End State School is a large, inner-city, primary school catering for students from Prep to Year 6. Our student enrolment of over 1200 continues to increase each year with infrastructure to match.
Established in 1875, we take great pride in our history and boast many multi-generational families in our school community.
West End State School is an Independent Public School, in recognition of its high quality educational opportunities for students.
At West End State School, we aim to provide a happy, safe and inclusive environment for all of our students. Our school embraces its diversity with 40% of our students speaking a second language, over 90 cultural backgrounds and more than 65 different languages spoken at home.
The WESS Strategic Plan and You
In 2020, WESS released its strategic plan for the next four years.
The plan has four priority areas to support the school's vision for our students.
Priority area #4 centres around the WESS Community, some of which are specifically about you as parent / carer so we have developed a special version of the Strategic Plan, called The WESS Strategic Plan and You
We believe that having a shared language is a part of having a connected, compassionate and inclusive community.
