On 6 June, we will be celebrating Queensland Day! 🎉 This exciting day marks when Queensland became its own state in 1859, and it’s the perfect time to celebrate everything that makes our home so special.

From the Great Barrier Reef to the outback, Queensland is full of incredible places, cultures, and stories. We encourage everyone to have fun learning about our state’s history, First Nations heritage, and the many people and communities that make Queensland such a great place to live.

QLD Day is also a great chance for everyone to think about what they love most about living in the Sunshine State.

We encourage everyone to join in the celebration by wearing maroon or adding a touch of Queensland colours to their outfit. And with State of Origin happening now, let’s get into the team spirit too - GO THE MAROONS! 🏈
